It was during a very narrow fight for mayor that the incumbent mayor of Saint-Anicet, Mr. Gino Moretti, was re-elected.

The incumbent mayor obtained 594 votes, or 50.1%, compared to Mr. Alain Picard who collected 582 votes, or 49.48%. Mr. Gino Moretti was re-elected with a lead of 12 votes. The turnout for this election is 47.2%. It should be noted that 1,176 votes were qualified as valid and that 18 votes were rejected for mayor.

It should be noted that the two candidates also faced each other in the race for mayor in 2016. Mr. Gino Morretti was elected with 534 votes, or 39.06% while his rival Mr. Alain Picard had obtained 494 votes, or 36.14% of the votes.

Municipal councillors

In District 1, Mrs. Ginette Caza is re-elected without opposition. Mr. Marius Trépanier accedes to the position of councillor of District 2 with 177 votes, a majority of 63.67%. In District 3, Mrs. Audrey Caza wins with 74 votes, or 61.16% of the vote. The incumbent councillor of District 4, Mrs.

Sylvie Tourangeau is re-elected without opposition. For her part, Anne-Marie-Leblanc won with 98 votes, or 56.32%. Finally, the position of councillor of District 6 will be occupied by Mrs. Lyne Cardinal who obtained 236 votes, or 79.73%.
