Anyone who has looked at the news, even just in the last year, knows that something is very wrong, that we have done so much to destroy nature that it is becoming more and more difficult to predict what natural disaster will happen next. More than ever, it is clear that we must act.
As individuals, we all feel sort of powerless to change the world. Rather than solving problems that are beyond our means, let’s concentrate on what we can do close to home. That means looking at what we, as persons, can do better to protect the environnement, reducing our waste, recycling better, etc. But we can also insist that our municipalities act because they can have a tremendous impact on our local conditions, by protecting agricultural lands, forest and wetlands.
Let us all think globally but act locally !
