In order to simplify the access to government services for citizens and businesses, in the Montérégie region, the Ministère du Travail, de l’Emploi et de la Solidarité sociale establishes that all local employment centers in this region are now Services Québec offices.
Thus, customers benefit from a personalized and common welcoming for all government services offered. The agents there are, among other things, able to support and guide citizens in the use of the government’s online services and in the various programs offered.
In Suroît, the Centre local d’emploi de Vaudreuil-Soulanges becomes the Bureau de Services Québec de Vaudreuil-Dorion, the Centre local d’emploi du Haut-Saint-Laurent becomes the Bureau de Services Québec de Huntingdon and the Centre local d’emploi de Valleyfield becomes the Bureau de Services Québec de Salaberry-de-Valleyfield.
Promote partnerships
By proceeding in this way, the desire of the Government of Quebec is to promote, through Services Quebec, the establishment of partnerships between as many government departments and agencies as possible responsible for providing services to citizens or businesses.
“The transformation of Services Québec offices meets one of the objectives of the Quebec Ministry Strategic Plan 2019-2023, namely to simplify access to government services and programs by continuing to deploy an integrated offer of multimodal and local services”, specifies the Ministère du Travail, de l’Emploi et de la Solidarité sociale in a press release.
