Despite the pandemic and the winter, Héma-Québec invites blood donors to remain active for those who need their generosity to become healthy.
It is now possible to make a donation for the blood drive of the Vélo-patrouilleurs of the Beauharnois-Salaberry RCM which will be held on Monday, March 15th and Tuesday, March 16th , between 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the Hôtel Plaza Valleyfield, located at 40, avenue du Centenaire in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield.
The objective of this event is to welcome 200 donors.
It should be noted that 1,000 blood donations are necessary every day, in order to guarantee an optimal level of reserves, even in times of pandemic.
Héma-Québec is doing everything possible to continue to make donating a safe experience.
There are numerous measures at all the collection sites, in particular they are controlling access to the sites by taking the donors and volunteers temperature, additional measures of disinfections and a review and organization of the logistics of collections in order to respect the distancing measures.
