The pandemic affects us all! We are going through this time with a range of emotions that are affecting our mental health!
The Haut-Saint-Laurent Social Distress Committee is participating, once again this year, in the outreach of the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Mental Health Week, which will take place from May 3rd to 9th .
The management of the committee explains that the pandemic affects the entire population. That people are going through this time with a range of emotions that affect their mental health. To highlight the CMHA, the committee will distribute awareness tools (posters, inserts, postcards) in pharmacies, grocery stores and schools. This action invites people, of all ages, to speak for real about what they feel! Therefore, staff and students alike will be invited to write what they feel on postcards.
The Haut-Saint-Laurent Social Distress Committee also reminds us that local resources are available. Since 1951, CMHA has held Mental Health Week the first full week of May. The main goal of Mental Health Week is to promote mental health, because it is not just something that can be lost: we can also stimulate and protect it.
