Everyone enjoys the sound of music, whether it be country, classic, rock n’ roll, etc. Nothing expresses this joy more than our summer visits to our local CHSLD/HLM’s.

As last year was such a success, MWCN partnered once again with the Table des Concertation des Aînés du Haut-Saint-Laurent and their committee organizations to provide musical entertainment to seniors in our communities.
A special thanks to local artists who volunteered their time and talent to bring smiles to faces. Seniors were seen clapping along and tapping their feet to the wonderful sounds.
“Music is therapy. Music moves people. It connects people in ways no other medium can. It pulls heart strings. It acts like medicine” Macklemore. We were also thrilled this summer to have one of the seniors from the Residence Riviera join in on the fun by playing his guitar with the band. Thanks to senior resident, Claude Lafleur for joining in on the fun!
This summer activity is also a great way to participate and celebrate our “Let’s Visit Our Seniors” campaign, an initiative throughout the municipalities of the Haut-Saint-Laurent which challenges all to reach out to a senior by a personal visit, phone call, email, letter or card throughout the month of June and record their activity on the En Bonne Compagnie website.
MWCN is excited to connect to seniors living on their own as well as in private residences and local CHSLD/HLMs. We are in the process of partnering with our local CHSLD/HLM’s in the near future and looking forward to sharing our already established activities, ie: chair yoga, exercise, art, etc., and building upon new ones which helps connect us all.
