Claire IsaBelle emphasizes that financial assistance of more than $574,000 has been announced to support a total of 54 organizations or cities across Quebec. The objective is to implement new childcare projects or improve existing projects to facilitate the organization of parents’ time, whether they are in the labour market or studying.
“In the middle of the school break, I welcome this news with enthusiasm! This is an important support for these two organizations in the riding which, it should be noted, are doing remarkable work. Melissa’s Sunshine Camp is offering this week, to young people aged 5 to 20 with an intellectual disability or an autism spectrum disorder, many enriching and stimulating activities. As for Centre de Plein Air L’Estacade, the programming is being organized and will be offered for the 2022 summer period. These two projects, in addition to allowing families from here to benefit from an improved service offer, will help to facilitate family-work-study balance”, emphasizes Claire IsaBelle , MP for Huntingdon.
Selected projects
Thus, the Melissa’s Sunshine Camp organization, located in Huntingdon, received the sum of $15,000. For its part, the Centre de Plein Air L’Estacade organization, located in Saint-Paul-de-l’Île-aux-Noix, received $29,000.
It should be noted that the selected projects were analyzed according to their relevance, their quality, the realism of the budget forecasts and the expected benefits. They target children of school age (4 to 12 years old), except in the case of children with disabilities, for whom the age can be up to 21 years old.
