A fast response by Pincourt’s Emergency and Fire Prevention team Tuesday is being credited for the containment of a garage fire that was called in at 3:13 p.m.

Town officials say the June 25 blaze at 81 23rd Ave. could otherwise have spread to the main house, or neighbouring homes.
Firefighters from Terrasse-Vaudreuil and L’Île-Perrot also helped combat the fire. Damage is estimated at close to $35,000. Fire officials turned the file over to SQ police, who are investigating.
