The Willow Inn, a renowned Hudson establishment, announced on April 21st the appointment of Danny Smiles to the position of Executive Chef and Manager of the restaurant.

Mr. Smiles is the former co-owner and chef of Bremner, a Montreal restaurant with a seafood-centric menu. Over the past few years, he has worked with several chefs nationwide to create a dining experience for many festivals including Osheaga.
“We are delighted to showcase local talent in the kitchen and offer fresh, regional produce, said Patricia Wenzel, co-owner of the Willow Inn. We trust Danny’s skill and creativity to provide our guests with an experience as unique as our inn.”
The Willow Inn has recently been in the limelight after undergoing a change of ownership in 2017, followed by a series of renovations to restore its former character.
Danny Smiles also had his fair share of public attention. He was a winner in the first season of Iron Chef Canada, was a finalist in the third season of Top Chef Canada and co-hosted the Chuck and Danny’s Road Trip on Food Network.
“I feel like I’ve come full circle, since my culinary passion started when I was working at my parents’ hotel at the age of 15, said Willow’s new executive chef and manager. I fell in love with the charm and British heritage of the Willow Inn on my first visit. It made me believe it was the perfect decision for me at this point in my life.”

The owners of the inn indicate that take-out will be available on weekends as of Saturday, April 24st , from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Guests should visit the Willow Inn website for more information. Provisional bookings are nevertheless possible with Julie Leadbeater, event and wedding planner.
The Willow Inn is currently closed for indoor dining due to Covid-19 health measures established by the Quebec government.
