On March 29th , art kits that were developed by the Musée régional de Vaudreuil-Soulanges were given to a dozen schools in the territory of the Centre de services scolaire des Trois-Lacs (CSTL).
The Conseil des arts et de la culture de Vaudreuil-Soulanges (CACVS) in collaboration with the Comité culturel du CSTL, purchased more than 1,350 kits, for a total investment of $ 4,050, in order to give them to the students of Vaudreuil-Soulanges. In total, 59 classes from more than twelve schools in the region will benefit from it.
The CACVS mentions that this action is part of the youth citizenship cultural program which is deployed in the schools of the territory. This program is based on three main focuses: providing better access to the arts and culture for all young people, fostering greater cultural participation and facilitating the acquisition of an artistic culture for all young people.
The council is proud to support teachers by offering these art kits, the purchase of which contributes to the dynamism of the activities of the educational department of the Musée régional de Vaudreuil-Soulanges. Finally, this initiative responds to the targeted need to offer artistic activities in schools, in a turnkey formula, highly appreciated in these times of pandemic.
