To facilitate shopping and discover the commercial offer in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, the city, in collaboration with Chambre de commerce et d’industrie de Beauharnois-Valleyfield-Haut-Saint-Laurent, is taking advantage of the holiday season to set up a campaign stimulation of local purchasing.
“TOUT SE TROUVE ICI” is an original operation that stands out for its approach. It will be carried out by the ICI elf, exploring the shops. He will share his suggested gift ideas on the campaign’s Facebook page, which serves as a virtual showcase. With more than 200 shops and hundreds of service shops, the choice is vast nearby to find the perfect gifts close to home!
Gift ideas suggested by the elf
Discoveries, gift ideas, favorites… During his visits to downtown businesses, the elf will share his finds in photos and videos to guide consumers, surprise them, seduce them and arouse their interest in the products that we find here, two steps away. “The communication tools of this campaign are there to highlight and publicize a commercial offer that is certainly unknown and underestimated”, explains Miguel Lemieux, mayor of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield. Thus, the creation of a Facebook page aims to be the benchmark for local shopping through its own publications and sharing those of businesses. It will be a treasure trove worthy of Ali Baba, a virtual showcase demonstrating commercial dynamism.
Business Directory
For its part, on the City’s website (ville.valleyfield.qc.ca/ici), the commercial directory “Tout se trouve ICI” introduces businesses throughout the territory by classifying them by specialty to facilitate discoveries. On the menu, clothing and accessories, decoration, beauty, toys, books, cuisine, reusable products, sporting goods, treatment centers and more.
A multi-support campaign
To support the campaign and promote the businesses, the municipal newsletter for December, distributed to all addresses in the territory, includes a list and a map illustrating the impressive offer of the city center. Lastly, web and print ads, an outdoor signage program on Alexandre, Grande-Île and Victoria streets and a group of ambassadors, made up of personalities from our region known for their dynamism on social media, complete the promotion plan.
Partnership
The “TOUT SE TROUVE ICI” local buying campaign is being launched for the holidays by the Fédération des Chambres de commerce du Québec and the Chambre de commerce et d’industrie de Beauharnois-Valleyfield-Haut-Saint-Laurent, thanks to the “Mes achats à quelques pas” program.
