More than 5,000 spectators took in the Knights of Valour medieval jousting tournament which was held on July 2 at the town’s outdoor equestrian arena. Other highlights of the 3 day festival included more than fifty family-friendly events, cultural and food workshops, equestrian sport demonstrations such as carriage driving and horse-ball, and more.
The weekend festival brought in $1,562 for the Centre équestre thérapeutique Marie Laurence. A final amount to be donated to the Fondation de l’Hôpital du Suroît has not yet been released. Meanwhile, residents Pierrette Beaudoin and Langis Boudreau won in the house decorating contest category, while La Source d’Entraide won in the business category.
